Minecraft To Launch Horse Update

By: Steve Wylde

Minecraft will see the launch of the "Horse Update" on July 1, 2013. Minecraft players will now be able to have horses, mules and donkeys in their game. The update also includes the addition of blocks of coal, horse armor, carpets and hay bales to the game. This update is also being released to fix some of the bugs found in the original version of the game.

The issue of players not being able to hit mobs while simultaneously jumping on horses will also be fixed with this update. A list of game updates can be found in the pre-release notes found on the Mojang website. Minecraft is currently compatible with Linux, Macs and PCs. Players will be able to get the game for their Xbox One sometime in the future, as this version of the game is currently being developed. No release date has been announced.
