3D Printing Will Soon Revolutionize E-Commerce

The day when instead of buying an item such as an iphone case, jewelry, shoes and bags, etc the old fashioned way, may be replaced with buying just the the design and license for creating these same items from home on your digital printer.  3-D printing hasn’t yet hit that critical mass mainstream acceptance yet, however as 3-D printers become more and more sophisticated and affordable, this reality might not be that far off. 

It’s been reported that 3D printers are already being sold along side traditional printers on such companies websites such as Staples and with an entry point of only $1,200 - $1,300 for some models, they are not too far from being “affordable.”  3D printing just took a huge leap in public awareness when the first 3D printed gun was created and the worldwide media storm this created.
